Donate to Our All Church Project

We will begin accepting donations on May 19th!
Please bring your items to North Shore Unitarian Church at 2100 Half Day Road, Deerfield, Illinois 60015 between May 19th and June 11th.  If you need a pickup please use our Pickup Request form or send an email to  All donations are tax deductible (to the extent allowed by law).
When can I donate?

Monday, May 20 - Friday, May 24
9am to 1pm
Tuesday, May 28 - Friday, May 31
9am to 1pm
Sunday, June 2 - Friday, June 7
9am to 1pm
Monday, June 10 - Tuesday, June 11
9am to 9pm
Donation Guidelines:
  • Please Donate Intentionally.
    • Clothing that is stained, torn or has broken zippers - please consider              dropping off at a textile recycler.  
    • Linens should clean, not badly stained, smelly or worn thin.
    • Electrical items should be in working order and marked as such.  Tie                          cords with a rubber band/twisty/pipe cleaner.
    • Please separate jewelry items so they don't get lost in the shuffle.
  • Donations should be in a box or bag and labeled by department. Loose items can be damaged.
    • Ideally, shirts, blouses and jackets should be on wire hangers and grouped by size.   Pick up hangers at church if you don't have any.  In addition, use children’s hangers on children and infant clothing if you have them.
    • Pants, shorts, sweats & sweaters can be boxed or bagged.
  • Loose items should be bagged (Quart or Gallon clear plastic ‘locking’ bags please) or tied together.  
  • Multi-part items should be taped, tied or bagged together.
Furniture Donations: 

We'd love to be able to take everything, but we can't. After considering our volunteer resources and the ability of many of our shoppers to haul their purchases home we have decided the following process below works best for everyone.  Furniture we can't accept includes:
couches, love seats, sleeper sofas, mattresses, drop down children's cribs, large entertainment sets and executive desks. 
  1. Take a picture of the furniture item(s) you wish to donate,
  2. Send picture(s) to  Our Donation Coordinator will reply and let you know if we can accept the item(s).  
  3. If you have a vehicle to drop off your item(s) please do so.
  4. If pickup arrangements are needed the coordinator can work with you on that as well.  Our three scheduled pickup dates are: Sunday, May 19th; Saturday, June 1st; and Sunday, June 9th.
  5. If we cannot accept an item - we may be able to  share some alternative ideas.
Items we are unable to accept include but are not limited to:
  • Tube Based TV's or computer monitors (Click here for recycling locations)
  • Textbooks, Reference books, Adult Non-fiction/Fiction Books. 
    • We do accept Children's and Youth books as well as coffee table books.
  • Bed pillows; however decorator pillows are ok.
  • Recalled items
  • Large appliances i.e. refrigerators, washers or dryers
  • Large exercise equipment
  • House remodeling materials i.e. cabinets, shower doors or paint
  • Household chemicals 
  • Children’s car seats or booster seats
  • Weapons
  • Animal based products other than leather goods
  • Medications, food, or alcohol
