Deerfield Free Store hosts 10 appointments weekly for newly arrived Refugees and Asylum Seekers that have recently moved into apartments. Highwood Library Essentials Pantry
Highwood Library and Community Center is experiencing an increased request for food assistance from its patrons. St. James is working to provide food pantry assistance, and the Library is opening an Essentials Pantry where patrons can come for no-cost shopping for laundry supplies, toilet paper and hygiene products. These Highwood residents do not have transportation and the prices at the local Walgreens are beyond their means. Our money would be used to stock/restock the Essentials Pantry.
End Permanent Punishment

The organization is run completely by justice-impacted individuals and has been successful in passing legislation to enable individuals to act as legal guardians.
